Wow! What a step up from a decade ago. It has been about 11 years since I was last in this hotel and it was just dirty, dinghy, dark, just nasty hotel with a even nastier reputation.!! I went in there last week to grab a few things out of my buddies room and wow! They sure did do the nice remodeling in the rooms making the bedding white instead of dark brown and the walls are now a nice bright white instead of dark. The whole room just felt more inviting and comfortable and didn't feel like I was in a slummy drug hotel.

What a wonderful old hotel. Amy at the front desk and Jake are more than accommodating. Not a lot of amenities, but all we needed was a place to sleep. It’s over 100 years old, no paranormal activity 😩

This hotel is awsome !! Total old school feel love the REAL KEYS OMG HOW COOL !! The rooms are on the smaller side but honestly very spacious and setup well and its more than enough space to relax and get comfortable

The building was built in 1925. It was great to be a part of that history there. Very clean room. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. I would stay there again if in the area.

This is by far my favorite place that I have ever stayed in! It has a modern mix with Old Town charm! I love that they have kept a lot of the history within this hotel call keeping the modern amenities as well. Make sure you bring stamps so that way you can send a postcard down the original postal shoot from the top of the floor down to the bottom! Such kind amazing staff. This was the easiest 5 out of 5 for me that I have ever done!!!

I had a great experience. The staff is very friendly and professional. They even help my packages after I left until I could arrange pickup. Highly recommend!

I booked online through Hotels.com, comparing prices of Duluth/Superior hotels. This hotel is affordable and unique! It's very old and you can tell, but it's not a problem. It doesn't smell musty or feel creaky. Hotels need to be safe, clean, and functional, and the Androy is all of those and more! I booked the King Suite- loved the cute, well heated room. Bed was super comfy and hot water was instant at the sink and shower. It was very cool to stay somewhere with such a rich, established history. Additionally, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful whenever I needed something or had a question. With such an old hotel, there are a couple "risks" you take, but I had nothing but a wonderful experience staying at the Androy. Also, there are many places for food and drinks within a walking distance, which was nice! There's even a family restaurant connected to the lobby. (See my review there too) I highly recommend this hotel and will absolutely stay here again whenever I am back in town!
